Esri Turkey User Conference

One of the most significant Geographic Information Systems (GIS) events in Turkey, the Esri Turkey User Conference, was held at the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Convention & Exhibition Center on October 4-5, 2017. The event, which was organized for the 20th time this year, saw participation from many different sectors, especially the GIS industry.

One of the highlights of the conference was the visit by producer Varol Yaşaroğlu. The fictional city created using the Esri City Engine product, which won the Oscar for animation in 2017 with the movie Zootopia, captured the producer’s interest. He visited the event to learn more about this product, which in recent years has been frequently used to quickly create fictional cities in world-renowned films.
